The origin
How Blind Spider got its start
Website building began as a necessity for my own solo private-practice service business.
Overpriced business-to-business marketing, horror stories of developers leaving clients stuck with half-finished work with their brand attached, and communication gaps that cost real money — I’d either hit these myself or lived them second-hand through war stories from others down the same path. I didn’t have time, and money had to be spent wisely as I bootstrapped my companies, both for-profit and nonprofit.
So I started learning about domain purchasing, web hosting, and HTML — and found I had an affinity for the organization it takes to get a site built just right. By the time my first two sites were finished I was building a third, more because I enjoyed it than for any financial reason. By then I had the bug for marketing and brand-building alongside the creative outlet that website construction gave me. I still run several businesses, and I’m genuinely enthusiastic about helping service-based businesses build something for themselves and their customers.
